What Is the Opportunity?

Performs activities related to desktop installation and/or network operations. These activities include advanced diagnostics, technical analyses. Travel may be required. Overtime may be required.

What Will You Do?

  • Performs configuration and testing for workstations, telephones and associated adjunct equipment.
  • Provides on-site technical support for activities associated with the implementation, installation and move of network and distributed technologies in the field offices.
  • Provides onsite problem resolution for desktop, server, voice, and network problems within established enterprise guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • 1 year of end-user desktop support experience preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of workstations and server functionality.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of network topology, telephony and distributed technologies including network operating systems.
  • Business Knowledge & Partnership:
  • Accurately assesses and understands customer needs and works with sense of urgency to satisfy those needs within negotiated time frames.
  • Able to interface effectively with customers and CORE IS areas in customer service/support situations.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making:
  • Able to isolate and resolve most telephony and PC hardware, software, facility and network infrastructure problems within established guidelines.
  • Self-Management:
  • Demonstrates effective skills in managing their activities and participation within team environment.
  • Leadership:
  • May impact the local systems, networks, telephony and applications used by employees, agents and customers across all business units to perform their daily business functions.
  • Planning and Project Management:
  • Able to plan, coordinate and provide on-site support of problem resolution activities and small projects associated with the implementation/installations of technology in field office locations
  • Able to adjust priorities to account for changes in business needs.
  • Financial Awareness:
  • Incorrect project installation or delayed problem resolution may result in customer downtime, directly impacting profitability.

What is a Must Have?

  • 1 year of Technology experience required.
