About the Team We have a successful, home-grown, native advertising platform and are looking for a sales operations expert to help us get to the next level of scale. This is a unique opportunity to make a huge impact on the day-to-day success of an existing sales & marketing organization and shape the strategy for how we build a long term, sustainable business.
About the Role Reporting to our Chief Revenue Officer, you will be responsible for building this function from the ground up - owning our revenue operating metrics, surfacing insights from the data and working cross-functionally to develop solutions - as we enter our next stage of growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all Sales Strategy & Operations functions and continue to build upon, and globalize, our monetization strategy.
- Partner with key sales leaders on critical strategic, organizational and operational projects designed to increase revenue, sales productivity and operational efficiency as we enter our next phase of growth.
- Drive alignment between Sales Operations, Sales Management, Product, Marketing, Finance, IT and Customer Support to determine key business strategies and develop go to market and operating plans.
- Establish effective analysis of trends to identify opportunities for greater efficiencies and proactively drive performance.
- Refine and optimize all of our pre- and post-sale processes across the Sales & Marketing teams, to ensure that salespeople are armed with relevant insights and have visibility into their progress to goal.
- Define target customer segments, assign ownership of customers across the Sales & Marketing teams, drive the goal setting process and track performance to goal.
- Support planning and forecasting in partnership with the Finance team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years total experience with 2+ years in management.
- Extensive experience in leading the support operations of sales teams.
- Highly analytical with the ability to structure complex problems and drive solutions cross-functionally with senior management.
- Significant experience and comfort with financial and quantitative models, drawing insights from large and complex datasets and translating those into actionable strategies.
- Ability to surface insights from data and translate into strategies that grow revenue while fostering a high-performing and metrics-driven environment.
- Experience successfully managing rigorous corporate initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with experience delivering presentations to an executive audience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of customer needs in social, search and performance advertising
- Knowledge of competitive trends in online advertising
- Familiarity with SQL
