As a Principal Product Manager, you will own the Member Home Feed of SoFi which is the center spoke of our experience. Our mission at SoFi is to help get our member’s money right, and we strongly believe that this starts from a Home Feed that is intelligent, timely and relevant. This will entail driving the long-term product and content strategy, vision, and roadmap, especially working together with all products and disciplines across SoFi.

Building a central hub and pivotal experience that enables our members to get their money right is no easy task. In order to do this, we strongly believe that in addition to building the best financial products (ie. checking, savings, loans, investment, etc.), we need a Member Home that can organize all content, tasks, intelligence, and community interactions and weave it into a coherent, trustworthy and engaging experience. Not only do we need to surface the right content and the right time, but establish trust and delight in helping customers get their money right.

Today, no such product or experience in the world exists where they bring together every aspect of a customer’s financial life and craft an experience that genuinely cares about the long term success of the customer. The ideal candidate will vision and optimize for the long run, efficiently communicate the larger picture to the team and company, and flex between cutting edge artificial intelligence (AI) and content strategy.

Responsibilities

• Be able to drive disruptive innovative solutions in a customer centric environment
• Build a vision, strategy and own a multi-year product roadmap
• Break vision into phases, prioritize and drive backlogs to launch with your dedicated engineering teams
• Own BI, instrumentation and data and analysis for your products to drive deep understanding, innovation and product plans.
• Be able to lead in a fast paced agile environment
• Work with internal project stakeholders from marketing, sales, operations, community and executive management to translate customer needs into a product.
• Lead extensive framework of experimentation in order to drive customer impact.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with an engineering and technical disciplines
• Familiar with Java, SQL, and iOS/Android and cloud platforms (ie. Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure),
• Demonstrated experience shipping commercially successful consumer products to global market segments
• Superior communication skills, written and verbal.
• Experience managing complex product development cycles and highly technical solutions
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on deadlines
• Ability to work with remote teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent disciplines
• 7+ years product management
• Experience building products that solve complex problems with delightlful user experiences
• Passion for FinTech
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
