Tableau is on a mission to help people see and understand their data. To help us achieve this mission, we are looking for an experienced Academic Program Manager to lead Tableau’s EMEA academic programs which aims to prepare students to be successful in today’s data-driven world by providing free software and resources to students and instructors at accredited academic institutions.
What you’ll be doing...
Working with the Sr. Academic Program Manager, you will lead Tableau's Academic Programs which include Tableau for Teaching (TFT) and Tableau for Students (TFS) across the region. You will be instrumental in putting Tableau into the hands of students and instructors by advocating and promoting these programs.
Some of the things you’ll be doing will include...
- Drive the growth and strategic development of the Tableau for Teaching program including:
- Develop the outbound marketing plan to drive expansion and awareness in this market
- Conduct research and use internal systems such as Salesforce.com and Eloqua to identify education institutions to target for expansion
- Conduct outreach and build relationships to drive more TFT engagement
- Become the TFT evangelist by giving live demos at live events and conducting virtual online trainings for instructors and students
- Attend industry events and conferences where you will present and demo Tableau
- Drive regional content such as newsletters, case studies, and blog articles to further promote the Tableau for Teaching program with the academic audience
- Become thought leader for Data Literacy in education
- Drive student usage of Tableau for Students
- Develop the outbound marketing plan to drive expansion and awareness in this market through: email campaigns, online target marketing initiatives, and on campus events and engagement with student clubs
- Develop and enable Student User Groups and Ambassadors to deliver in person workshops
- Drive regional content such as newsletters, case studies, and blog articles to further promote the Tableau for Students program
- Analyse performance data, build dashboards and track key program metrics
- Offer frontline support for TFT and TFS users
Who you are...
- Experienced: Extensive experience in program/project management with proven business development skills, ideally gained within or associated with academia. You must have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and drive and scale programs. In addition, marketing knowledge and experience would be beneficial.
- Strategic: Ability to think strategically whilst developing both new and existing relationships with academic institutions.
- Thought leader: Passion for driving data literacy with proven public speaking and content development experience.
- Analytical: Analytical, data savvy, and creative. Tableau Certification and a background within the BI industry is highly desirable.
- Technically Savvy: Knowledge of MS Office is essential. Experience with Eloqua, Salesforce, Tableau or any other BI tools would be an advantage.
- Educated : A BS/BA, ideally in a relevant discipline.
- Excellent Communicator: Exceptional communication and presentation skills are essential. Fluency in French and/or German would be beneficial but are not essential.
- Relentlessly High Standards. Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
