Nike’s Consumer Direct Offense is designed to serve the athlete faster and more personally, at scale, led by digital. With focused growth through key categories, this new offense will connect the Nike Brand and products with consumers in new and more powerful ways worldwide.At the heart of the Consumer Direct Offense is Nike’s new NikePlus membership program that will provide member-only access to the products members love, matched to their individual preferences and buying patterns. This unique access to Nike’s greatest innovations and most coveted styles is about three key services that serve consumers on their terms: first access to the latest products, exclusive access to personalized services and experiences, and reserved product for members only.

The Role

We are searching for a savvy omni-channel Marketing Manager with strong retail and digital experience to join the NYC Membership Marketing team and lead a marketplace membership marketing strategy, aimed at increasing NikePlus member activity within strategic retail partner environments. The person coming into this role will have the ability to directly shape the how we tell the NikePlus story and activate distinctive membership benefits with our partner.Reporting to the Director, East Membership Marketing, this individual will define, launch and scale an innovative membership marketing strategy in partnership with one of Nike’s key marketplace partners. This leader will develop marketing and experiences to acquire, engage, and retain members. This work will be conducted in concert with the strategic partner, with the end goal of driving lifetime value.We are looking for candidates with a track record of acquiring and engaging new consumers, working in both a B2B and B2C environment with a desire to be at the center of Nike’s transformational efforts. Flexibility, drive, and communication capabilities will be critical characteristics. The ability to think creatively, develop innovative experiences, and form relationships (internally and with the strategic account is essential. This person must also be able to think with an enterprise mindset, balancing the desire to grow the Nike direct business, while also serving our marketplace.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Plan and activate an omni-channel marketing strategy focused on expanding NikePlus brand visibility and driving member acquisition, onboarding and retention of members acquired within the Marketplace Partner environment in partnership with the Integrated Account Team (Nike Brand)
  • Utilizing consumer insights, testing, and data to iterate the acquisition, onboarding and sustained engagement experience in partnership with the Integrated Account Team (Nike Consumer Experience)
  • Provide ideas and content that is motivational, enriching, insightful and entertaining for members to build NikePlus brand equity
  • Partner with the Global, Geography & City Membership, Integrated Retail Marketing and Integrated Account teams
  • Partner with external account teams, acting as both a representative of Nike Inc., but also an invested stakeholder in the account’s business results

Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate would have some, if not all of the below experience:
  • Educational experience in Marketing or similar
  • 4-6 years of experience in CRM, loyalty, engagement or retention related marketing roles
  • Hands on experience working with an account, or on the account side for a consumer brand
  • Experience orchestrating integrated marketing plans needed to serve consumers and enable omnichannel journeys
  • Demonstrated ability to turn insights and ideas into recommended actions, leading cross-functional team to implementation
  • Understanding of behavioral economics, consumer psychology, and the current and emerging landscape of membership programs
  • Understanding of Nike brand, the Sneaker-obsessed consumer and NYC marketplace
