Job Description
About the Role At Lattice, our editorial mission is to provide content to help employees, managers, and HR/People leaders find more meaning in work, create better workplace culture, and build high-performing teams who love what they do and where they work. We are seeking a passionate and creative content marketer to help fill our content library with engaging stories and useful guide content that highlights today’s workplace needs and best practices, specifically around HR and management. You should be an exceptional writer and editor who brings creative vision, strong project management skills, and a results-driven mindset to the job. You understand how to regularly roll out SEO-focused service content, informative interviews, and leads-driving ebooks, but are also excited to push for truly unusual signature series that Lattice will become known for. You’ll own and maintain our editorial calendar, collaborating regularly with other members of the marketing, design, customer experience, product, and sales teams to make smart planning decisions. And you’ll also track key content metrics to make sure your efforts and ideas are helping us meet business goals.
Responsibilities
- Help us deliver on a focused SEO strategy, and assign/edit/write extensive website content to help Lattice drive organic growth.
- Take a journalistic approach to content planning — responding to industry news and trends as well as customer needs.
- Develop new and innovative formats that go beyond a basic blog post that helps us tell our stories in signature ways.
- Own editorial calendar, driving launch schedule and managing writers.
- Research and author or assign out e-books and other downloadable content; test new content formats and channels to increase brand awareness and gain leads.
- Help define and regularly report on key metrics for content marketing success — from views to SEO rankings to conversions.
- Collaborate with marketing stakeholders and cross-departmentally to ensure you’re putting out top-notch content that also helps support business needs.
Qualifications
- B.A. / B.S. degree (journalism or communications preferred)
- 3+ years of proven content marketing or editorial experience (content marketing and SaaS experience preferred)
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to demystify complicated topics in an authoritative but accessible voice
- Portfolio of previous work such as articles, copywriting, web page content, e-books, etc.
- Strong work ethic and enthusiasm to write for our mission
- Content project management experience managed in fast-paced environments
- Comfortable presenting ideas and information to senior leadership internally and externally
- Experience with analytics tools to determine impact and effectiveness of content programs
- Knowledgeable of SEO editorial best practices and research tools
Why Lattice?
- We invest in the personal and professional growth of every employee because we believe growth leads to both business impact and personal fulfillment
- The opportunity to join an experienced and ambitious team that is passionate about solving customers’ needs and loves coming to work every day
