WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Manage the execution of private equity transactions on our platform, working cross-functionally with the Sales, Research, Legal and Compliance teams to drive deals to a timely close
- Communicate directly with clients, shareholders, and investors, throughout the lifecycle of the deal in order to collect necessary documents needed for the transaction
- Identify process improvement opportunities and work with our Technology and Product teams to automate and optimize our platform and processes
- Utilize data analytics to improve our understanding of EquityZen’s Marketplace and drive essential data-backed decisions about our platform, products, processes, and stakeholders
- Contribute to Marketplace projects on an ad hoc basis
- Become an expert in deal-making, private placements, and marketplaces
THE RIGHT STUFF:
- 1-3 years of work experience (recent graduates with extensive internship experience may also be considered)
- Passion for tech (via side projects or current work)
- Love for deal-making and fast-paced environment
- Works hard and smart with attention to detail; does not sacrifice quality for speed
- Ability to manage many competing tasks and deadlines under pressure
- Demonstrated skills in process improvement and/or demonstrated ability to quickly tackle complex processes/topics
- A bias towards action, insatiable curiosity, a desire to have an impact and a relentless drive to constantly improve the way we do things and challenge the status quo
- Exceptional communicator, both internally and with clients
- Experience in any of the following roles:
- Analyst experience in private equity or venture capital
- Analyst experience at an investment bank, brokerage firm, or asset management firm
- Analyst or Consultant experience at a management consulting or advisory firm
- Analyst experience in product or data analytics
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Entrepreneurial or venture capital experience
- Experience in private placements, capital markets, or FinTech marketplaces
- Experience at an internet-based investment firm, crowdfunding, or P2P lending
- Experience with data analytics and modeling
