Accountant

Job Description

Mobify is looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a role for a newly qualified accountant or an individual currently in the CPA PEP program who has great attention to detail, solid technical abilities, as well as a drive and enthusiasm to help support the Finance team in a dynamic and growing environment. You'll be responsible for assisting the Finance team with all aspects of the company’s financial reporting, maintenance of its financial records, and the preparation of financial reports. As an Accountant, you'll get exposure to full cycle accounting and work as part of a growing team.

What You'll Do

• Invoicing and Accounts Receivable
• Accounts Payable and Payments Review
• Preparation of monthly lead sheets, working papers, and financial reports
• Assist with Financial Statement preparation and the year end audit
• Prepare balance reconciliations, continuity schedules and variance analyses
• Payroll assistance
• Ensure clarity in the relevant teams at Mobify around payments being made
• Work with our Customer Success Team with respect to billings and collection there of
• Strive to continuously improve our financial processes and reporting
• Assist in income tax compliance
• Perform ad hoc reporting and project work as required

Who You Are

• You're a Commerce graduate with a specialty in Accounting and are in the CPA PEP program or a recently qualified CPA
• You love having ownership over your work from start to finish
• You strive for a “right first time” approach in your work
• You have a great attention to detail and also the ability to see the bigger picture
• You enjoy working in a dynamic environment in a growing business
• You have the ability to deliver to deadlines and to handle multiple and sometimes competing priorities
• You love working as part of a team
• You have great communication skills and excellent excel skills

Bonus

• You’ve worked in a startup environment
• You have knowledge of CASPE
• You’ve worked with NetSuite (experience with other accounting systems / ERP systems is also a bonus), Payworks, Expensify
• You have experience working in a multi-currency business
