For more information, visit www.ethicon.comThe Scientist 1 will report directly to the Laboratory Supervisor or Laboratory Manager and will perform moderate to complex testing in compliance with laboratory test methods and procedure to support manufacturing and timely delivery to customer. Key Responsibilities:• The Scientist 1 will receive general instructions about required tasks and expected results. Work will be well-defined and will be reviewed for accuracy upon completion.• Operating in accordance with current GMPs. This includes the ability to understand and apply SOPs and use GMPs
• Perform moderate to complex testing to support product release
• Provide initial and final review for data generated by peers and contract laboratories
• Support Instrument Lifecycle Management process
• Initiate and perform investigation on nonconforming products

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, preferably Chemistry
• 1 to 3 years of Experience in a regulated industry, preferably Medical Device
• Experience performing dilute solution viscosity measurement on polymers
• Ability to work independently to perform testing with limited supervision
• Experience using a Malvern Y501C Relative Viscometer or Cannon Fensk glass viscometer
