Scalable Press is a Silicon Valley tech company using technology to reinvent the mass customization industry. We have more than 300 employees across our San Francisco headquarters, various US locations, and two offices in Southeast Asia. As a part of our global expansions in Latin America, Scalable Press is hiring full-time engineers, UI/UX Designers, and Product Managers to build a founding team in Guadalajara, Mexico. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will work on products owned by our Engineering team in Guadalajara, working closely with teams in San Francisco on diverse projects. Requirements: -6+ years software engineering experience. -Experience in web development and passion for building technology products. -Practical experience developing fault tolerant backend systems. -Experience with database modeling and design best practices. -Embrace the breadth of responsibilities in a rapidly growing startup. -Strong communication skills in English. -BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent *Please send your resume in ENGLISH to be considered for the position* Responsibilities -Design and implement distributed platforms, with a focus on scalability and resilience. -Effectively assess and solve performance and scalability challenges and issues. -Build solutions with a demand of rapid growth, understanding and applying trade-offs between consistency, availability and their costs. -Ensure operational readiness of our services and meet availability requirements. -Model relational and non-relational databases following best practices and standards. -Improve upon the modularity and consistency of our code base. -Help with the strategic advancement of our technology. -Participate in architecture design with team leads. -Provide mentorship for new teammates and spread good coding practices. -Step beyond your comfort zone and implement our company culture in Mexico office.
