HR Shared Services Specialist

As an HR Shared Services Specialist, you will deliver first-line customer service supporting the full spectrum of HR groups across all RELX Netherlands businesses on various HR subject matters. Together with your colleagues in the HR SSC, you will take care of all employee lifecycle administration coming in through management self-service, case management systems and e-mail. Furthermore, you will act as a primary point of contact, managing and responding to all employee queries and providing consistent policy and process advice.

You will have a good understanding of HR processes and be committed to deliver and ensure outstanding customer service. You will be part of a highly collaborative, fun and dedicated team of four. You will be based in Amsterdam and report to the HR Shared Service Manager.
Your responsibilities
Process employee lifecycle administration, such as onboarding, job data, termination and other transactions, coming through both case management or self-service systems
Provide guidance and advice to employees and managers on the HR policies and procedures of the company and its business units.
Answering questions on various subjects, such as absence management, annual PDP processes and leave
Respect SLA’s, ensuring that the HR SSC meets the business needs
Continuously improve processes to further drive efficiency, effectiveness and quality of service
Key mass data changes and mass uploads
What you should bring
HBO degree in Human Resources or equivalent
2+ years of work experience
Strong knowledge of HR processes, with a basic understanding of Dutch labor law
Ability to set priorities self-organize effectively; ability to manage a high volume of requests
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Dutch
Strong drive to deliver excellent first-line support
Excellent IT skills and system knowledge of MS Excel and Workday
