Job Description

The Procurement Manager is responsible for merchandising the assortment into concepts that support key items, strategies and current trends. Additionally, the Procurement Manager will prioritize tasks to support and drive these divisional strategies and financial targets by working with multiple cross functional partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Actively participate in key product development milestone events to ideate, develop and curate an ideal product assortment
    • Interact and negotiate with vendors to identify the ideal sources for our product selection
    • Partner with cross-functional team members to develop key concepts, key items, and assortment to ensure that the collection is commercially viable and provides an exciting customer experience
    • Ability to put assortment together cross channel and drive retail strategy/flow, site and catalog
    • Build and influence future strategies where needed and provide appropriate and timely direction to the cross-functional team in order to react quickly to customer and business trends.
    • Evaluate assortment and pricing of competition to predict product performance
    • Validate costing and pricing strategies with production
    • Identify business opportunities and risks in-season by analyzing sales performance and gathering marketplace information
    • Results oriented, feeling of personal accountability for delivering financial goals(sales and profit) and objectives for the category.
    • Overseas vendor negotiation experience, e.g. China

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum 3 years professional experience
    • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
    • Experience negotiating with 3PL partners
    • Cross functional collaboration
