The Oracle Application DBA is responsible for the overall management and maintenance of Oracle e-Business Suite R12/R12.1 application. The DBA performs engineering functions for multiple large databases including the ERP and SQL server machines. The DBA partners with technical and business groups to ensure that database performance standards adhere to enterprise service level agreements. Also, the DBA advises to the IT management about technology trends and best practices to support the environment.

This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Performs daily system monitoring activities to include verifying the integrity and availability of E-business suite application server resources
• Supports the architecture and process of Oracle 12c, ERP R12/12.1, BI Applications and SQL server resources
• Supports EBS developers for custom coding, code migration, interface design, XML publisher reporting, database procedures and concurrent requests; and creates shell/UNIX scripts to monitor data
• Provides Oracle application systems administration including user account management and maintenance e.g., assigning printers, configuring and monitoring Concurrent Manager (CM) queues, scheduling jobs, setting up profile options and setup/configuration/administration of Oracle alerts and work flow mailer
• Evaluates, recommends and serves as POC for software and hardware for database, Oracle ERP applications, BI-Apps solutions and other third party products
• Performs installations, configurations, upgrades, and advanced clone/patching of Oracle ERP applications, Oracle RDBMS, 12c Grid Control Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), and WebLogic (configure and setup of load balancing, fault tolerance and PCP)
• Provide installation, configuration and administration of Vertex and other third party products integrated with E-business Suite
• Knowledge and experience of multinode to Single Node and Single Node to multinode cloning
• Support Microsoft SQL Server and SharePoint
• Manage OAM (SSO) and DMZ servers

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of application DBA experience in Oracle EBS
• Full lifecycle Oracle R12 implementation/upgrade project completion in an application DBA role
• Experience with Oracle application patching, cloning, SSL & load balancing configuration and administrative utilities administration
• Experience with backup/recovery, sizing and space management, PL/SQL tuning, diagnostics, TAR management and proficient with the use of Oracle’s Enterprise Manager tool
• Database upgrade and platform migration experience required
• Work in flexible Shifts as demanded by the project requirements
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

• Strong troubleshooting skills in the EBS environment and with core DB
• Application DBA experience in Backup Recovery (RMAN and hot backup) Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard setup
• Oracle Certified Professional on Oracle 12c
