As a
Technical Writer at Podium, you will understand our business goals and user needs, then help plan, develop and deliver clear, relevant content to bring the two together. As part of the design team, you will work closely with product designers and researchers to create simple, ed
ucational, and intuitive experiences for our customers and their customersWhat You Will Do: - Partner with the product and design teams to create content that is of the highest quality in terms of accuracy and readability.
- Build and manage vision for product voice and tone across a product. Document your strategies with guidelines, and establish best practices and strategy principles.
- Write copy for products designed for a wide range of consumers.
- Define the content strategy for a given product and write clear and concise content across multiple touch points (including product names, labels and navigational elements, emails, tutorials, marketing pages, and notifications).
- Understanding of user experience principles and interaction design.
- Develop content frameworks, product narratives, and other deliverables that explain your recommendations and help people understand content decisions.
What You Should Have:- 3+ years of relevant writing/editing experience
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Solid understanding of user experience design principles and interaction patterns
- A portfolio of writing samples that demonstrate different types of content (e.g., long form, UX writing, email, documentation, etc).
What We Hope You Have: - Experience writing content for web/mobile products and developing style guides preferred.
- Experience working as a member of a multi-disciplinary product development team. Such as designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, and data scientists.
- Ability to write for a range of voices and styles.
