Where do you fit?

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Solution Architect to help Independent Software Vendor (ISV) and Value Added Reseller (VAR) partners build extensions and integrations to SugarCRM’s products. We’re looking for an enthusiastic candidate with systems integration experience and soon-to-be Sugar expertise to help establish and grow a vibrant software ecosystem. You should have the ability to bridge business and technical considerations that result in innovative and compelling solutions.

• Be a Sugar integration expert
• Lead solution design and architecture in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead internal and external development teams through design and provide guidance or oversight of technical development output

Objectives

1. Recognition as a Sugar integration expert
2. Collaboratively work with product management, partners, and customers to map business requirements to technical solutions
3. Deliver project deliverables and manage effort according to the cost and time deadlines
4. Evangelize integration design patterns and development best practices
5. Deliver extraordinary partner relationships

Responsibilities

1. Participate as a trusted technical expert in pre-sales and implementation of Sugar integrations and extensions
2. Effectively document and communicate design and architecture to stakeholders
3. Work closely with Product Managers and Business Analysts to capture, define and build solutions to meet requirements
4. Responsible for conducting trainings, webinars, and blog posts promoting best practices
5. Responsible for implementation effort estimation
6. Write code to implement certain complex designs
7. Develop expertise of all SugarCRM products, capabilities and best practices. Become Sugar certified
8. Domestic and International travel

Expertise you will bring in:

• Strong understanding of CRM or ERP software implementation/projects
• Experience with software design and development methodologies and able to apply them in day-to-day practice
• Experience in Web applications and excellent knowledge of at least one of the dynamic languages and familiar with others (PHP, Python, Ruby, Perl)
• Fluent in SQL and popular SQL dialects
• Good understanding of automated build processes (GitHub, Jenkins) and container based architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Excellent communicator (written and verbal) with ability to maintain open communication with all levels of the organization. Comfortable leading discussions
• Experience implementing cloud/SaaS software solutions
• Understand how to design a redundant / high availability architecture
• Experience estimating work effort
• Able to solve tough challenges and work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience working with global and offshore teams
• Experience working with Sugar products is a Big Plus

Minimum Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience architecting and implementing complex solutions involving CRM, ERP, MDM, etc.
• Experience with enterprise integration and best practices. Hands-on experience working with integration tools and in data loading and transformation.
• Understanding of implementation methodology and practices – Agile, SCRUM, etc
• Implemented RESTful web applications and web service APIs
• Experience creating detailed project documents – solution design, etc.
