In our work together we embody our values: Be a founder, Murder drama, and Enjoy the ride.As an IT Security Engineer, you will work to protect Podium’s assets and customer data from malicious actors. You will develop and maintain solutions to alert our team to potential compromises of our enterprise infrastructure and employee endpoints. You will deploy and maintain monitoring solutions on employee endpoints to alert and respond to possible compromises. You will champion efforts to improve the security standards of Podium’s workforce. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure that security best practices are implemented and followed.What you will be doing:

• Participate in building the Podium Business Applications Department.
• Support a suite of enterprise security tools.
• Deploy and maintain an endpoint detection and response tool on all endpoints and respond to threats identified by that solution.
• Work with GRC team to achieve and maintain compliance through appropriate enterprise security controls.
• Develop security alerting to identify potential malicious behavior within the network or employee endpoints.
• Monitor alerts and participate in incident response and forensics as necessary.
• Create automations to orchestrate prevention and response to malicious behavior.
• Develop solutions to restrict and protect access to enterprise HR, financial, and productivity suite data.
• Develop solutions to limit the exposure and effect of social engineering attempts on Podium employees.
• Work closely with the IT team to ensure security best practices across Podium’s corporate network are being followed.
  

What you should have:

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years in a hands-on security role with a strong background in security architecture
• Proficient in Unix and Windows system administration
• Experience with malware analysis and systems forensics
• Experience with operating within SIEM systems: querying, alerting, correlation, etc.
• Strong understanding of network communications, including familiarity with basic network protocols, ports, supporting hardware, and the OSI model
• Experience configuring networking hardware, as well as gathering and interpreting network logs - switches, and routers
• Batch Programming and Scripting skills
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud computing services is a plus
