Product Trainer & Instructional Designer
Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Product Trainer and Instructional Designer to drive customer engagement with the Sugar Serve, Discover, and Connect products by delivering training and education services to our customers globally. Your work directly impacts the success of our customers through instructor-led training (virtual/onsite), self-paced courses, targeted webinars, recorded programs, knowledge management, content development, course catalogs, and Certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts from Product Management and Product Marketing to develop training materials for multiple SugarCRM product lines
- Write training curriculum for new releases, products, and services that can be delivered in multiple training modalities
- Own the design and production of all training and eLearning content such as:
- Instructor led and self-paced courses, workshops, presentations, practice exercises, simulations, job aids, quizzes, demonstrations, videos, graphics, and other multimedia
- Manage and deliver blended learning curriculum within the LMS, including instructor-led classes, virtual webinars, workshops and self-paced content
- Review, edit and format training materials to ensure content and formatting consistency
- Regularly maintain and update course content based on quality ratings and feedback from learners and surveys
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Sugar Certification track materials and exams
- When needed, travel to customer sites and other locations to deliver training in-person
- Research and apply emerging technology and concepts to training initiatives
Skills
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in Instructional Design, Educational Design, Training/Development, Teaching, Corporate Communications, and/or E-Learning Development
- Experience with CRM, Analytics, and Customer Engagement applications preferred, SugarCRM experience a plus but not required
- Experience in curriculum design and development, and instructional design
- Knowledge of adult learning theories
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills (both ILT and VILT), as well as the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
- Ability to mulit-task and meet established deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously and work in a high pressure production environment
- Demonstrates ability to learn new technologies and explain complex technology to others
- Experience with eLearning design, audio-editing, web-conferencing and/or virtual learning technology, applications and tools. (e.g. Camtasia, GotoTraining, etc)
