Job Description
We are currently seeking an IT Desktop Engineer for our HQ in San Francisco! You’ll be responsible for providing stellar front line support for technical issues across our environment. You will support both onsite and remote employees. This is an amazing opportunity to work with the latest technology, grow, and have a big impact on the success of the product and the company.
Here is what you'll do as part of the team:
- Provide training and support for employees from all departments with technology they need to get their day-to-day job done.
- Build, configure, and deploy new computers and other devices for all employees. You play a key role to ensure new hires are productive on day one
- Collaborate with People Operations team on effective and secure employee onboarding and termination process
- Manage all company cloud accounts, groups, and access control.
- Manage office A/V equipment used for meetings and presentations. Ensure that remote employees stay connected with headquarters through seamless use of technology.
- Harden our corporate network and cloud providers against exploitation.
- Demonstrated experience working with remote employees (and remote offices)
- Manage network gear (switches, WAPs, firewall, VPN) for a 100-employee office.
Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be successful:
- Customer service is in your blood.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize and execute on multiple requests with demanding deadlines
- Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices with regards to IT support and operations
- Working knowledge of recent versions of Mac OS, iOS, Android, Linux, Windows, Microsoft Office, networking, printers, and video conferencing equipment
- Experience with hosted productivity and communications applications, such as G Suite, Slack, Dropbox, and Zendesk
- Make complex technologies feel simple, developing trust that extends through and beyond the IT and Engineering organization
- Understanding of both physical and online security. You have experience rolling out data security policies and processes across diverse organization
- Automation. Experience with scripted programming languages (Ruby, Python, Unix Shell, etc) is a strong plus.
