1. Coding in any major development language, platform or technologies (C#, C++, Visual Basic, C, TSQL, Perl, ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, JAVA)
2. Support and management of database objects as it relates to any and all applications in use as it relates to Source One Direct Inc. business operations. This may be in any database environment (MySQL, PostGREP, and MSSQL)
3. Correct and proper use of source code control environments and techniques.
4. Functions as they relate to Source One Direct Inc. business operations environment including but not limited to:
5. End user support via phone, in person, or web-based.
6. Customer support via phone, in person, or web-based
7. After hours support where needed.
8. Internal production and application support (JAAMS, SEMS, CIP2, SOD Service, SOD Application, Inventory)
- Requirements gathering and with sales and customers. Including professional composition of well-formed requirements documentation.
- Proficient code composition in Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Management Studio.
- Testing and deployment of production ready code in a development environment.
- Deployment of production ready code in a production environment.
- Research and development of new technologies as they relate to the company business directives.
- Train and educate others on new technologies and/or programs and applications developed for or potentially benefiting the company.
- Working in a Linux based environment.
- Development of applications and installations in the following environments:
0. Web based
1. Service based
2. Stand-Alone application
3. Web Services
4. Dynamic Libraries
- Database Administration and Performance practices as it relates to:
0. Indexing
1. Backup management
2. Log management
3. Transaction management
4. Security

Education and/or Experience: Minimum of college degree and/or equivalent experience.
Personal Characteristics: Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities. Participative management type – advocates team concepts. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities. Tactful and mature. Ability to establish credibility and be decisive – but able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients, or employees or organization. Excellent people skills, attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal skills required.
Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills required. Intermediate computer skills also needed.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.
