Global Services Engineering (GSE) is seeking a motivated individual for our Military Repair Engine Life Management Team (ELMT). As an engineering intern on the ELMT team, you will be working with the repair development team to ensure all repairs, tooling, customer, safety, and environmental requirements are met. This will involve shadowing senior repair development engineers, participation in the preparation and execution of tool qualification events and repair source demonstrations, at the repair depot.

Other Responsibilities include:

• Encouraging safe work practices and participating in necessary formal and on-the-job training sessions and learning opportunities.
• Develop and/or assist in developing standard operating procedures.
• Work as the onsite RDE intern, under the direction of a senior RDE engineer supporting engine/hardware inspection and repair.
• Inspect engine hardware for various distress conditions, and support related repair tasks activities.
• Review documentation in advance of qualification demonstrations.
• Verify necessary tools, hardware and consumables are in “ready state” for demonstrations.
• Support shop investigations and process improvement activities.
• Own the can-do initiative that all incidents are preventable.

Basic Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred)
• US Citizenship is required due to government contracts
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• You will have at least 30 credits prior to starting your internship
• You have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Ability to work with and effectively communicate with all levels of employees in the organization
