CONTRACT POSITION

Location: Cleveland, OH

We’re Futuri Media, an award-winning technology company with products that help some of the world’s biggest media brands thrive, and we’re seeking a fast-moving, proactive UX Manager to join our growing team.

In this role, you’ll lead an immediate-term contract project. Successful completion of this project may result in the offer of an in-house position (although interest in an in-house position isn’t a requirement for applying).

Responsibilities include:

• Gain an understanding of the project requirements, including features and functions of a new product being launched, product-market fit, target customer personas, and product messaging.
  
• Develop a remarkably clean, intuitive UX plan and streamlined product designs that prioritize ease of use and product cohesion
  
• Work with internal stakeholders to tailor plans to meet current-state technological capabilities; if necessary, developing fast-follow v2 plans.
  
• Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
  
• Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.

Requirements:

• Three or more years of UX design experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for software packages.
• Experience designing UX and/or UI for B2B web-based applications
  
• Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus
  
• Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
  
• A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
  
• Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently
  .
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
  
• A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
  
• Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design.

• Be a proactive self-starter with a high level of personal accountability.
• Work quickly. This project is under a very tight timeline. We anticipate the initial engagement will be completed in ~60 days.
• Understand that there has been tremendous market research and persona development already completed. Those elements are not in scope for this project.
