Job Description
Affinity is growing rapidly - in less than 3 years of selling, we’ve gone from zero to powering 1000+ customers in 35+ countries across many relationship-driven industries. We’ve onboarded many of the biggest venture capital and private equity funds in the world, closed Fortune 500 corporates, and found adoption in a wide variety of sectors - from financial services to commercial real estate to B2B startups. We’re really excited about 2020: we’ve spent the last 8 months building a new product and we’re now taking it to market. It is a purpose-built solution to help enterprise sales teams crush their quotas by maximizing the value their network can provide. We’ve already closed our first few deals, and now it is time for us to start scaling our go-to-market effort.
We’re looking for our first sales hire for this new product. You will be taking the success we’ve had so far -- in building the product, getting feedback, and winning our first customers -- and multiplying it many times to turn this into a multi-million dollar business. Your primary responsibility will be sourcing and closing deals and take the product to market. This position will report directly to Affinity’s founder.
What will I be doing?
- Build a pipeline of accounts in our ideal customer profile from consistent outbound activity (and use our own product to find warm intros!)
- Build relationships with prospects and bring them on as customers
- Work hand in hand with our founder and product team. You will serve as the primary conduit of product feedback we will get from prospects to our product team.
- Work hand-in-hand with the founder and marketing to iterate on our messaging for this product that communicates the benefit to prospects succinctly
We'd love to hear from you if:
- You have 2-4 years of experience in a closing sales role as a top sales representative at a software SaaS company
- You have demonstrated success as an early sales hire at an early-stage SaaS startup
- You’re ready and willing to do the prospecting work: the role will be prospecting heavy to find new customers for the first 6 months (we use our own product to make this easier ofcourse!)
- You're highly motivated and have a strong work ethic
- You have strong closing skills in deals, with the ability to persevereYou have a track record of trying and learning new things
- You embrace whitespace and the challenge of building processes and playbooks from scratch
- You have an innovative mindset and are a creative problem solver
Bonus points if:
- You have sold SaaS products into VP of Sales / VP of Marketing / CROs before
- You have sold sales/marketing productivity tools that integrate with CRM workflows
