The Opportunity at Komodo Health
Komodo Health’s Director of Talent Acquisition is a strategy-heavy senior leader, designing and delivering our Talent Acquisition roadmap to support the achievement of business objectives. Leveraging our deeply mission-driven culture to inform and amplify our employer brand, the Talent Acquisition leader institutes programmatic changes to support our focus on fairness and inclusivity, measuring success through metrics. Our Talent Acquisition team is a key contributor to our ability to meet our business objectives, and their leader will be the front-face of this practice, with regular facetime with the executive team and all dragons.
As one of the members of this business-critical team, you will...
- Regularly present on talent strategies, actions being taken to achieve them, and measurements of success to the executive team and the company
- Own Komodo’s Headcount Plan, communicating regularly on metrics, risks, initiatives and solutions, with ultimate responsibility for meeting hiring plans, and working within budgets
- Identify, develop, and refine talent attraction strategies for all functions and levels at Komodo Health, from entry to executive level roles, from engineering to sales, including identifying critical areas for community visibility (meetups, speaking engagements) and creating a name for Komodo Health as an employer of choice, and the best place to work in health tech
- Drive & launch Komodo’s employer brand, identifying our employee value proposition, ensuring that’s reflected in our Careers pages, and that our interview panelists are trained and confident in their communication of what it means to be a dragon
- Operationalize programmatic updates to our hiring journey to mitigate opportunities for bias creep, and to ensure equal opportunity for candidates of diverse backgrounds and perspectives, including formalizing adoption of hiring rubrics, etc.
- Drive candidate engagement through an intentional and curated candidate experience, coupled with an exceptional and supported hiring leader experience
- Embrace metrics- and analytics-driven decision making
- Build a world-class Talent Acquisition organization, leading by motivation and amplification of your teams’ skills and impact
In your first 3 months, you will...
- Establish strategic direction for Talent Acquisition to support and lead Komodo Health’s 2020 growth objectives, delivering to the executive team and the business your 2020 strategy, roadmap and success measures
- Prioritize key touchpoints in the hiring journey where we can implement programmatic changes to ensure fairness, mitigate bias, and create the space for individuals with diverse backgrounds and perspectives to shine
- Take ownership of our headcount plan, identifying key metrics to indicate pipeline health, risks, and achievement of growth as related to budget
- Identify key meetups, speaking events and media where we can reach target candidate audiences to tell Komodo Health’s story

- Extraordinary business and Talent Acquisition acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking, and analysis. You are a business person first and foremost, powering the business through clean and concise Talent Acquisition strategy and execution.
- Experience working, leading, and thriving in a distributed, high-tech, occasionally ambiguous, and perpetually evolving environment where you have helped roll out and champion innovative global TA process to unblock and enable business growth

- Ability to influence and partner with all levels of the organization
