Samsara is at the intersection of cloud software, sensor systems, and wireless networks, and seeks a Sales Engineering Manager to manage one of our Field Sales Engineering teams. Samsara builds an extensive set of hardware devices, including battery-powered, wireless environmental sensors, Linux-based IoT gateways, and internet-connected dash cameras as well as an intuitive Dashboard and set of APIs for consuming the sensor data. Our Field Sales Engineers work in-region alongside our Regional Sales Managers, owning technical pre-sales for our largest and most strategic prospective customers.

In this role, you will :

  • Add to the team when needed through hiring and/or internal promotion, and provide ongoing mentorship/coaching to team members
  • Assist SEs in their career growth plans through enablement and development plan creation
  • Act as additional liaison / advocate between the Enterprise team and the product team
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Obsess Over the Customer, Build for the Long Term, Growth Mindset) as we scale globally and across new offices
  • Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team

An ideal candidate has :

  • 2+ years of SE Management experience
  • BS or higher
  • Previous experience as an Enterprise SE in one of the following areas highly desired: cloud software, networking, automation and control systems.
  • Proven track record of winning complex deals
  • Previous API / Scripting experience a plus.
