Responsibilities
The Analyst serves as a data analyst and business partner through traffic and revenue analysis, demand generation reporting, sale and offer optimization, and customer intelligence. The position is responsible for data management, goals, tracking, and post analysis in order to continually monitor and improve system performance for air. They will constantly help support the system air strategy team as well as the commercial sale planning team.
WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:
- Builds out expectations and goals that support the larger corporate plan
- Supports and educates processes in sale planning, pricing, and execution
- Digs into data at the most relevant level of granularity, i.e. city, customer, travel period
- Explores data and employs a range of analysis methods
- Provides self-serve reports and/or dashboards when relevant
- Evaluate travel patterns and demand to determine opportunities
- Collects relevant data with an eye for possible defects
- Identifies the key learnings that address business questions and makes meaningful recommendations
- Communicates in a compelling and well thought-out manner in all types of interaction, explains learnings clearly, presents with poise and confidence
- Collaborates well with others, builds relationships with business owners, follows through against established timelines
- Is a curious learner, adaptable to evolving business needs and a changing environment
- Solution oriented; positively impacts the environment of his or her direct team and others with whom he or she interacts
- Works with leader to align on priorities, constructively address project work, and build personal development plans
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics or Business Management preferred
- Advanced degree preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years experience with an airline, general marketing or marketing analytics required
- OR, 1 year of experience if the candidate holds an advanced degree
- Experience with spreadsheets, databases, and database reporting tools required
- Experience with SQL preferred
- Familiarity with the airline industry and/or field of marketing preferred
- Experience with web analytics preferred
- Experience with Tableau preferred
SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills required
- Possesses strong mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Communicates effectively by listening intently, questioning appropriately, and articulating clearly in both written and verbal formats
- Prioritizes effectively and hits promised timelines
