Wait, what EXACTLY is the Payment Operations Business Analysts’ Charter?
PayOps supports:
- Automation - We help build scalable systems. Payment Operations Business Analysts are responsible for identifying, quantifying and structuring solutions (along side PM & Eng) for technical gaps that create less than optimal merchant experiences or non-scalable workflows
- Product Stakeholder - We help the product team build a scalable and SUPPORTABLE product for all of Payments; Due to our propensity to dive deep and understand problems from the inside out, PayOps Business Analysts are able to provide product owners a unique perspective on building foundationally sound products. - Transaction Issues - We will SOLVE your unstructured and complex problems. We do this by quantifying the problems, identifying the depth/breadth of the problem throughout the lifecycle of a transaction. When we approach transaction issues like fast paced PhD thesis, we think of 3 things: 1) how do we solve the immediate problem; 2) what patterns exist and has this happened before, and finally 3) can this problem be automated (or operationalized) away.
What are the attributes that make Payment Operations Business Analysts so superhuman ...
- Ownership - Leaders are owners. Owners have the ability and obligation to make something better, fix it for their customers, and have a voice in product.
- Customer Obsessed - Merchants are our customers. We will spend extra cycles to ensure Braintree maintains a seamless, transparent, and a white gloved experience.
- Growth mindset - Challenges are seen as opportunities. Failure is seen as iterative. Feedback, positive and constructive, is openly accepted and used in growth.
