What is the day to day like?

• Deployment, configuration, monitoring, and ongoing operations of operating systems, and applications used in the SPS Commerce production environments in both the physical datacenter and cloud-based environment.
• Seek out potential technology enhancements, evaluate, propose, architect, and implement enhancements following project management and change management procedures
• Provide collaborative coaching for other Technology Operations team members
• Engage with Development and Product Management teams to develop, scale, and improve production systems and services.
• Monitoring and administration of systems to provide appropriate documentation, cross-training, capacity management, and recommendations for future state.
• Participation in an on-call support schedule.

What is required?

• 3+ years of experience in the IT field working in an enterprise environment administering Windows, Unix/Linux, IIS, and SQL Servers
• Experience with enterprise and application performance monitoring tools
• Demonstrated knowledge of technologies including, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, AD
• 2+ years of experience with at least one of the major cloud service providers such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Working knowledge of Antivirus and Patching systems required
• Efficient communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and to be self-motivated
• Experience working in both project focused and operations management environments
• Ability to balance multiple projects and tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrate proficiency in methodical troubleshooting to provide resolution to incidents and problem management projects
• Adherence to the highest quality standards and a desire for continual improvement

What is desired?

• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.
• Chef, Puppet. or other Desired State technology experience
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, and/or other scripting languages
• Previous experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) operations
