The role:
Join the Workiva team in this newly created role! The International Accounting Manager will act as the first point of contact for EMEA accounting inquiries and consulting. This position will be responsible for a wide array of tax and accounting tasks, while contributing to the growth and scale of Workiva in EMEA.
What You'll Do:

• Act as Consultant Liaison for Tax/Accounting/Payroll, working closely with outside consultants.
• Serve as the go-to accounting contact for EMEA leadership team, employees and third-party accounting providers.
• Close collaboration with the newly hired Finance Manager, EMEA.
• Work with key stakeholders on the creation of new Workiva entities.
• Research technical accounting and IFRS or local GAAP guidance and issues and perform analysis as needed.
• Manage completion of financial reporting obligations for regional regulators.
• Create documentation necessary for global scaling.
• Manage assigned month-end tasks, ensuring timely and accurate results.
• Review and assess the effectiveness of operations, and strive to identify improvements to current processes.
• Ensure audits are completed and tax and annual accounts are filed in a timely manner.
• Coordinate the preparation of local corporate income tax returns, in collaboration with local tax advisers.
• Collaborate on the roll out of global accounting projects and implementations.

• Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
• Accounting/Finance experience within a multinational company
• Qualified accountant ACCA, ACA, CIMA or other related qualification(s)
• Audit background (Big 4) a plus
• Related managerial experience preferred
• Software As A Service (SAAS) experience preferred
• Fluency in English and Dutch is preferred (additional European languages is a plus)
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently
• Ability to prioritize, perform multiple duties and track projects, while meeting tight deadlines
• Ability to work within a diverse corporate environment and communicate with several levels of colleagues and management
• Adapts to changes in the work environment and manages competing demands
• Ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance
