Overview
The Lead Regulated Data Architect is a member of the Digital Shared Platforms – Analytics & Risk team within the Digital Transformation & Technology (DTT) department. Chick-fil-A has heavily invested in Analytics and Data Literacy in all areas of the business. The Analytics and Risk team accelerates informed insights by centralizing and unlocking data across the Enterprise and supporting our Enterprise Analytics Teams, DTT Development Teams, and Business Area Analysts. This position will design and deploy solutions that drive analytic business outcomes by optimizing regulated data formats and structures and identifying ideal methodologies for handling and moving enterprise regulated data optimized for use by systems and people. They will convert complex regulated data into useful data for the data lake according to enterprise pattern for regulated / controlled data.
Responsibilities
- Interpret the language and objectives of business stakeholders into scalable data and analytic solutions and in accordance with compliance laws.
- Responsible for designing data pipelines in the domains of Customer, Franchisee, Payroll, Staff HR, and PCI data into the Data Lake.
- Conceptualize, visualize, design and model how enterprise data is used in analytics to meet the defined governance and regulatory constraints within the CFA Analytics ecosystem and framework.
- Architect data pipeline solutions optimized and curated for analytics on regulated data with scalability in mind.
- Communicate and present information in a non-technical manner to internal customers and business stakeholders.
- Enable visibility into how analytics data is being used and who has access to the organization’s regulated data.
Minimum Qualifications · Attention to detail · Strong interpersonal skills · Skill to partner with cross-functional teams using strong written and verbal communication skills · Self-starter who completes tasks without excessive supervision · Experience in data architecture and design, for both structured and unstructured data; data modeling, architecting and delivering highly-scalable and flexible, cost-effective, cloud-based enterprise data solutions. · Deep database knowledge and proficient with SQL · Experience developing software code in one or more programming languages (i.e. Python); understanding of Apache Spark/Hadoop, relational and NoSQL databases. · Experience with data analytics, BI, data reporting and visualization, all aspects of data management: data governance, data mastering, data warehousing, database management, and meta-data management. · Experience designing and implementing data ingestion techniques for real-time and batch data pipelines from disparate data sources. · Experience with ETL tools. · Experience with the agile development methodology. · Ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges in an enterprise environment. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field of study Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with developing and implementing data models for analytic use
- Keen eye for systems thinking and process design, especially with respect to scalability and automation
- Experience with AWS big data technology stack and cloud-based architecture
- Understanding of data privacy regulations and architecting data solutions to ensure compliance.
