Sr. Software Engineer - Hitch (Talent Platform)

What's the role?

At Hitch you will be joining a small team of engineers crafting the next generation of our app. You will have the opportunity to play a significant impact on the future of our product ranging from:

• Feature inception
• Technical decisions
• Writing the code that makes it all work.

The engineering team is small and work environment is loosely structured.

You do not shy away from ambiguity, yet you are a champion of clarity.

Eagerness to learn, experiment, and being a self starter will be your keys to success

Who are you? What we're looking for

• 2 - 4 Years of industry or comparable experience (please share your Github or portfolio)
• Some familiarity with Javascript / Typescript. In other words you can pick up the syntax quickly.
• Experience with React. You know the basic principles of how a React app is structured, how data is rendered and why it's re-rendered.
• Experience designing and communicating with APIs (versioning, authentication, authorization, and microservices are not foreign concepts).
• Familiarity with SQL and data modeling concepts. You have worked with a database before but don't claim to be an expert.
• You feel comfortable setting up a modern JS environment (Webpack, Babel, etc. )
• You've diagnosed and solved a performance issue in the past.
• Bonus points if you've deployed something to the cloud.
• Additional bonus points if the word Kubernetes means something to you.
