Job Description

The Advanced Analytics Group is a team of experts in primary market research, data science and advanced analytics. This position will collaborate with senior Bain Partners in Advanced Analytics space to lead the strategic roadmap for scaling capabilities; drive the regional customization of the strategy, along with end-to-end execution.

Responsibilities:

• Define assessment criteria and filter high potential ones for major use cases.
• Conduct meetings and demos with selected candidates and lead capability deep dives to understand offering and assess potential.
• Work closely with deep technical experts while developing own expertise.
• Establish governance, ways of working and operating rhythm; onboard partners, align expectations and create an open channel of communication.
• Coordinate with Commercial Acceleration Team (CAT) to identify external and internal opportunities in areas such as product reinvention and product development.
• Manage a variety of key stakeholders including internal Bain teams.
• Define and negotiate commercial model and terms, pricing including packaging and pricing for joint offering; develop joint selling approach and serving guidelines/playbook.
• Lead the development of the repeatable model, codify best practices, be the “Center of Excellence” for partnership related needs across capabilities and geographies.
• Work hand-in-hand with Bain case teams to support the deployment of specific IT partnerships.
• Conduct retrospective sessions to capture learnings and constantly improve deployment.
• Collaborate with Senior Leadership and the partner firms to initiate and drive M&A discussions.
• Work hand-in-hand with Bain’s Global M&A team to co-lead all aspects of deal discussion and execution.
• Bring best of capabilities in corporate development from in region, to global teams to support the execution of the IT strategy in other regions.
• Work with Marketing team to build Bain’s external brand and participate in relevant regional/global events or IP development.
• Define key metrics to monitor performance and progress both internally and externally and promote global coordination across capabilities and regions.
• 20% domestic or international travel required.
• Supervise 1-2 Management Consultants.

Requirements:

Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, or a related field plus three (3) years of post-MBA experience as a senior level consultant with a management consulting firm, or five (5) years of experience on mergers and acquisitions, or corporate development roles. Experience may be gained concurrently and must include:

• Expertise in Advanced Analytics domain implementing management strategies by applying advanced market research techniques, customer segmentation, and machine learning;
• Ability to develop and drive pragmatic business insights supported by complex business analysis using MS Excel and advanced analytics tools like Tableau or Alteryx;
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them within tight timeframes;
• Proficient in developing audience-right, high-quality presentations in MS PowerPoint;
• Demonstrated ability to deliver compelling oral and written presentations; and
• Demonstrated ability building and managing client relationships with senior executives, entrepreneurs, startup owners, and c-suite executives.
