About this Position

Title: Director of Web Marketing

Location: Sunnyvale, CA or San Francisco, CA

We are looking for a senior marketing leader, with extensive web marketing experience, to join the web and digital marketing leadership team at Riverbed. The Director of Web Marketing will be responsible for defining and managing the strategy, roadmap, programs, metrics and user experience for Riverbed’s corporate website.

Candidates must have prior experience managing corporate websites for B2B companies, with a strong track record of defining and delivering initiatives that drive marketing success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap to transform riverbed.com into our primary marketing vehicle for brand awareness and demand generation.
• Implement best practices to drive online customer acquisition and conversion.
• Define and own web marketing KPIs across awareness, acquisition, usage, and engagement.
• Serve as the primary manager and advocate of Riverbed’s web strategy. Collaborate, plan and implement a best-in-class user experience and design for riverbed.com.
• Manage ongoing content updates to our websites, including copy, content/resources and SEO, to keep the experience fresh, engaging, and relevant. Assess content effectiveness, and drive alignment between marketing campaign narratives and the website user experience and KPIs.
• Guide programs/projects from conception to completion, overseeing all aspects including requirements gathering, scope definition, resource planning, project timeline, budget management, risk management and change control.
• Manage site localization strategy and content translation projects.
• Continually test and optimize - from A/B testing CTAs and content placements to optimizing lead gen form flows, this position will be the expert on website testing strategy and objectives.
• Drive web content personalization strategy, implementation and ongoing optimization.
• Define the operating model and governance structure for riverbed.com - roles and responsibilities, optimization of new project initiation processes, managing homepage content calendar, etc.
• Measure website performance and report on a regular basis

Skills and Experience

• Extensive leadership experience in web marketing for B2B.
• Passionate about B2B lead gen, web optimization, web analytics, and data
• Strong track record of managing significant global web properties and driving online customer acquisition.
• Must have experience working in an organization with multiple product marketing managers, business units and regional marketing teams.
• Experience defining website information architecture, layout, and navigation in support of user-centric design strategies
• Experience with localization, search engine optimization, personalization, testing and analytics a plus.
• Demonstrated capability to make data driven decisions
• Exceptional communication/interpersonal skills to clearly articulate ideas, frame problems and offer solutions
• Great customer service, presentation, problem-solving, analytical, and budget management skills, full understanding of ROI analysis.
• Experience building, mentoring and coaching a team of web marketing specialists.
• Experience managing agency and vendor relationships.
• Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
