Overview
A great opportunity to work with a global WPP client team handling one of the world’s leading FMCG brands. Based in Hong Kong, Red Fuse brings together expertise from across WPP to handle all the client’s communication needs including all the digital touchpoint, traditional advertising, shopper, and media planning across APAC. In Hong Kong Red Fuse is part of the Ogilvy family of companies and this can provide future career path options for the post holder in due course.
The Client Services Director, is a key partner to the client’s business in APAC. He/she should be viewed by the client as an extension to his/her own team, someone who fully understands the client’s business and continually adds value. He/she recommends and oversees integration of network partners, as appropriate, for the business at hand. He/she helps organic grows business and leads the brand strategically to become the clients’ trusted advisor.
Reports to: Managing Director Red Fuse Hong Kong
Dotted line reporting to Chief Executive Ogilvy and Mather Hong Kong
Direct Reports: team of 8 including 3 Account Directors.
Responsibilities
- Manage and drive Red Fuse’s work for Colgate Palmolive regionally
- Effectively manage client relationships and expectations at senior levels
- Partner with client to identify, develop and drive strategic opportunities
- Seeks and capitalizes on opportunities to grow Client business
- Assist in client trouble shooting/problem solving
- Ensure client satisfaction with all aspects of agency performance (strategy, creative, digital, client services, personnel)
- Active role on the Red Fuse HK Leadership team, work collaboratively with peers to help drive the agenda for the wider team
- Adopt responsibility for Red Fuse HK initiatives that enhance and encourage the growth of talent, and networks to bring new talent to agency
- Attend industry/leadership conferences, as appropriate, to gain insights into current trends
- Fiscally responsible by remaining aware of the scope/budget associated with each project
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload and exercise time management skills.
- Hire, coach and lead the development of the account management team
- Lead and participate in the Ogilvy Performance Management and Career Conversation process, including self-evaluation and provide 360 feedback upon request for colleagues; establish goals and provide on-going feedback to support recognition and improvements for employee development
Qualifications
- Must demonstrate a proven track record of outstanding client service and relationship building. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills that demonstrate influence and diplomacy; strategic thinking and advertising/promotional acumen.
- Bachelor degree plus a minimum of 12 years related experience of integrated campaigns in FMCG advertising featuring both digital and traditional platforms
- Strategic aptitude
- Capable manager of a client facing team
- Ability to effectively manage the creative and strategic process
- Demonstrate effective agency operations
- Superior communication skills, both internal and client facing. Excellent presentation skills.
- Team building skills; ability to energize and inspire.
- Build client relationships outside of the core brand team.
- Fluent verbal and written English essential; other Asian languages desirable
