Overview
Help drive our company and our users to new levels of insight through Esri technology. Imagery can contain vast amounts of information which can be exploited and used in many ways. We are looking for an individual to use their remote sensing knowledge and skills to develop new workflows and solutions. We would like to hear from you if you are interested in improving and expanding on new techniques for processing imagery. You will use your insight, creativity, and technical expertise to design, test, QA, and implement imagery workflows. Spatial analysis and data visualization coupled with strong communication skills are necessary to succeed. As an expert in both remote sensing and ArcGIS technology, you will help ensure our customers use the best practices to work with imagery in the ArcGIS platform.
Responsibilities: - Leverage domain expertise to help build the best solutions
- Build, test, QA, and implement data conversion workflows
- Test various data processing workflows
- Research and apply cutting edge methods and technologies in the field of remote sensing
- Understand, create, and explain new products created by raster analysis
- Possess a desire to immerse yourself in image analysis and solve real world problems
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in remote sensing and GIS
- Familiarity with image services, mosaic datasets, geoprocessing tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and proven ability to work in teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical presenting and interacting with colleagues across organizations
- Remote sensing science and how to use algorithms to extract information from imagery
- Ability to patiently communicate technical information clearly and concisely
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly, retain large amounts of information, and adapt to a changing work environment
- Master’s in remote sensing, GIS, or related field and all-source intelligence research background
Recommended Qualifications: - Experience with image processing and image analysis
- Knowledge of big data and cloud infrastructure (Amazon, Azure)
- One or more years of Python or other high-level language
- Experience writing technical user documentation
- Proven ability to define, manage, and deliver geospatial solutions
- Clear understanding of ArcGIS Enterprise architecture, applications, and functionality including the ArcGIS web adaptor, IIS, internal ArcGIS Enterprise ports, and SSL certificates
