Job summary
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Telco Solutions Architect to join us in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you will work to support the Key Account Manager and the local Telco Sales teams to develop and promote our business within the accounts and develop opportunities, including presenting Red Hat’s solutions and technologies to partners and customers, delivering documents like blueprints, requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposals (RFPs) responses, deliver practical proofs of concept, doing project scoping, and presenting project deliveries. You will help your customers invest in an infrastructure that will give them maximum flexibility and allow them to make their IT and telco infrastructure services faster and more reliable by engaging, meeting, and demonstrating to the telco accounts that Red Hat’s solutions match their needs and expectations. You will collaborate with the Business Development team, account managers, and solutions and domain architects to define plans, tactics, and strategies to support customers on the technical solutions from Red Hat applied for telcos.
Primary job responsibilities
- Evangelize the value of Red Hat’s solutions; work with the Key Account Manager and collaborate with the extended Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) team to focus on the best manner to address your customer needs
- Define, document, present, and demonstrate how the Red Hat solutions portfolio, including its infrastructure, application development, and storage solutions, can enable next-generation IT and network architectures for telco providers, both in the network functions virtualization (NFV) and in the OSS/BSS space
- Educate, enable, and support our Presales and Architect team partners on telco-specific technologies and concepts to develop and deliver the Red Hat message and value proposition to the telco market
- Partner with local teams to address telco customers and partners and their technical network teams; work with the Sales team to gain market share
- Work with the ecosystem to position Red Hat as a key strategic vendor for telco and NFV infrastructures, e.g., independent software vendors (ISVS), network equipment providers (NEPs), telco, cloud providers, integrators, and hardware vendors
- Guide or contribute to RFP and RFI responses and projects for telco and NFV customers
- Deliver expert-level presentations and demonstrations for Red Hat’s offerings and solutions in the context of telco IT Operations teams and networks
- Communicate and work with Red Hat Product and Technology (PnT) product managers, product marketing managers, and engineers, as well as the global Corporate Telco team
- Propose solutions based on customer requirements and deliver solid business cases
- Design value-driven architectures and present the application and ROI of those technologies
- Deliver compelling recommendations and quality solutions that result in the closing of new sales Use your skills as a technical solutions expert and your understanding of industry best practices to deliver timely results to customers that exceed their expectations
- Design solutions based on customer requirements and create and deliver solid business cases
- Design value-driven architectures and present the application and return on investment of those technologies
- Deliver compelling recommendations and quality solutions that result in the closing of new sales
- Share knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from your successes and mistakes
Required skills
- Excellent conceptual skills that can knit together the complexity of today's telco environment with the power of Red Hat's software capabilities to define the potential of next-generation service provider and related ecosystem environments
- Extensive industry knowledge and market insights with a good understanding of current, new, and future technologies and business directions
- Ability to build management and C-level relationships with Red Hat's customer and partners that result in deeper loyalty to Red Hat and broader adoption of Red Hat's solutions
- Solid skills in IT technologies used in telcos, e.g., virtualization (VMware vSphere, Red Hat Virtualization), cloud (VMware vCloud for NFV, Red Hat OpenStack Platform) and container platforms (Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift)
- Solid skills in DevOps and Agile methodologies
- Understanding of existing and new technologies used by telco industries, e.g., 5G, internet of things (IoT), software-defined networking (SDN), NFV, OSS/BSS
- Familiarity with the language used in the telco industry in regards to carrier-grade
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Experience in the OSS/BSS area is a plus
