Job Description: Raytheon IIS Hardware and Infrastructure (HW&I) Engineering team has an immediate opening for a satellite Ground Terminal (GT) Hardware Engineer. The qualified candidates will perform duties which include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Design and support status and control systems for satellite terminal hardware. This includes utilizing DIN Rail industrial control modules, and networking other vendor-supplied components
- Provide updates to a HW/SW ICD at the bit and register level
- Coordinate changes and test plans with Software Engineering
- Be the owner of drawing sets that fully describe the equipment for procurement and manufacturing purposes as well as integration, deployment, and test of the delivered equipment
- Coordinate with and support internal and external organization teams such as Product Design, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, Configuration Management, Security, and Supply Chain Management
- Serve as the technical POC for systems engineering and customer integration and operation
- Support system integration activities
An active US Government TS/SCI security clearance is required as of day one of this assignment (US citizenship required). This position is eligible for a sign-on-bonus of up to $40K for a candidate whose clearance is verified and hired at RaytheonRequired Skills: - Demonstrated ability to work in a schedule and process driven environment
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot system issues and provide user support
- Experience with bit, register, and discrete wire digital control system design, integration, and troubleshooting
- Experience developing hardware/software interface documentation
- Experience developing and maintaining detailed assembly drawings governed by a rigorous drawing control process
- Active US Government TS/SCI security clearance (US citizenship required)
- 6 years of related work experience
Desired Skills: - Digital and voltage test equipment experience
- ABET is the preferred, although not required, college/university accreditation standard
Required Education:Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 6 years of related work experience.
