Job Description

The Production Support team will ensure that Bread's production systems and applications are maintained at peak efficiency and availability on a 24x7 basis. The right production support engineer is someone who is able to do software engineering but can also effectively interact with customers and who will respond quickly and smoothly to any production issue.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist all customers, both external and internal, as well as customer facing systems and ensure the reliability and availability of all production systems.
  • Triage production incidents, and help resolve any issues by escalating them to the appropriate team or resolving them if time allows.
  • Monitor all production systems, and respond to any infrastructure and application alerts promptly.
  • Document all production related processes, and automate them if necessary.
  • Work with the lead to help build the production support team, and establish processes and tooling necessary for success.

Who You Are:

  • Have familiarity with monitoring and reporting tools like: PagerDuty, DataDog, ZenDesk, Sentry, New Relic
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Have working knowledge in programming languages such as: Go, Javascript, Python, Ruby, Scala, Java, C#
  • Have worked in a product support environment or engineering/product environment with SLA’s
  • Ensure that customers are 100% satisfied with the service they are receiving.
