Job Description
Everlane is seeking a Photo Operations Manager to lead all operational aspects of the photo team. One part PM, one part producer, one part operations specialist this role does it all. This position will oversee a powerhouse team of in-house and freelance production, project management and technical roles. This role is the central hub of the photo team—managing shoot production, team resourcing, budgets, as well as guiding and evolving the way we work as a team. The right candidate is extremely process oriented with a keen ability to multitask and switch seamlessly between projects while never losing sight of the big picture.
Your day-to-day:
- Lead the operations channel for the photography team.
- Manage a team of producers to bring our brand to life through photo and video shoots—overseeing the process and workflow from creative brief submission to delivery of image assets
- Be the gatekeeper for the photo team—responsible for all resourcing and project workflows. Responsible for setting and executing against an annual budget.
- Cross-functional leader: be a sought-after partner to our marketing and project management teams. Work closely across the aisle to lead the way on sharing, managing and establishing new processes that set all teams up for success.
- Vendor Relationships: Help maintain all outside vendor and freelance relationships for the photo team.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- 5 - 8 years photo production and/or creative operations experience. Experience building and managing a multi-function operations team within the creative field.
- Background in a variety of creative and operational areas (shoot production, project management, studio operations).
- Proven track-record of strong cross-functional partnerships.
- Experience managing annual budgets, vendors, calendars and workbacks.
- Comfortable flexing between day-to-day process setting and long-term strategy work.
- Ability to thrive in a start-up environment: assertive with strong follow-through and a knack for identifying and solving problems before anyone else notices them.
- On-set experience or production background is ideal.
At Everlane, we’re rethinking the way retail works. We have no middlemen taking their cut and no brand markups. Instead, we design our own luxury basics and sell them exclusively at a fraction of the traditional retail price. Since launching in November 2011, Everlane has attracted over 1,300,000 members and has been featured in The New York Times, New York Magazine, The Economist, Elle, and GQ. Please note before submitting an application: as a company, we take hiring very seriously. Interviewing with Everlane may include video and phone interviews, written projects, and/or on-site interviews. Although we are unable to follow-up with each and every applicant, we do our best to run a thorough process for candidates with whom we identify a potential fit. Everlane provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
