We are currently seeking a talented Manager, Web Development with strong coding and UX skills and a proven track record in both cross-functional collaboration and the creation of robust web properties, interactives, and applications. The candidate will join our in-house web development team which is a part of the larger Marketing and Demand Generation team. You will be leading and managing the development and maintenance of the TouchBistro website, landing pages, and other web entities. You are experienced and excited to lead, support, and inspire other developers in the team to achieve project and business goals of developing and maintaining accessible responsive, cross-platform interfaces with intuitive, and clean user journeys.

YOUR DAY-to-DAY

• Formalize, supervise, build, and manage functional, user-friendly, WordPress pages/websites from provided design mockups and/or prototypes
• Ensure an SEO-friendly and user-centric approach across the website and other digital/web properties
• Manage all technical aspects of the Wordpress CMS, ensuring all pages are easily scalable
• Optimize web pages for maximum page speed and performance
• Define and document best practices for web and application development
• Test and troubleshoot pages across multiple browsers and platforms
• Implement third party web tools, optimize, and track of web-based lead-gen initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the scope of marketing and related initiatives
• Provide technical direction, scope and the best course of action to all web-based needs
• Be a technical mentor to the team and a supportive leader to the team

ALL ABOUT YOU

• 6+ years of experience working in web development and user interface design (preferably with 3 years within the scope of marketing-related customer-facing web ecosystems)
• Experience with direct report team management is a huge plus!
• Strong understanding of the CMS platforms including Wordpress platform (WordPress template hierarchy, the loop, plugins, general functionality)
• Confidently codes and experience developing WordPress websites, including content updates, CSS and other visual modification, new page creation and more
• Ability to create/setup fully responsive, WordPress pages
• Knowledge/experience with the Advanced Custom Fields Wordpress plug-in
• Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experience with working with PHP and Javascript and JQuery
• Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch and/or other design software an asset
• Ability to produce clean, commented, standardized code
• Enterprise-level project management experience
• Experience with code review and website QA processes
• Management of external vendors, agencies per business need
• Well-versed with analytics reporting (GA), tag management tools (GTM), A/B testing and their functionality
• Experience of using website and web/digital ecosystem as a primary conversion-focussed channel for lead-gen and action-based activities
