Function Purpose
Our Global training team has a direct impact on our employees, our partners, our customers, and the business by providing product, business process, general technology education, and (limited) skills training for audiences around the globe, such as but not limited to: Sales, Delivery, Partners, Client End-Users.
Role Overview
Instructional Design is the process of designing and developing the training courses/experiences as envisioned by our Curriculum Design team, to ensure all learning objectives are met and trainees are equipped with the specified knowledge and competencies following their successful completion of each training.
As an Instructional Designer on our team, you will specialize in developing either live (Instructor Led Training, Virtual Training) or asynchronous (eLearning, Emerging Channels) training courses/experiences and do so at the direction of the Instructional Design Manager.
Responsibilities
Specifically, you will:

Collaborate with SMEs, and other stakeholders to design & develop all course content (Instructor-Led, Virtual, eLearning, Emerging Channels) with the goal of translating curriculum design into actionable learning, in a timely manner
Develop and edit training materials including training slides, Instructor Guides, Participant Guides, exercises, case studies, and supplemental training materials to extend learning retention and ‘in the moment’ resource documents to increase learning and retention
Ensure that learning components in all modalities are grounded in principles of adult learning
Synthesize and utilize review feedback to ensure appropriate delivery methods and activity types are utilized to improve learning outcomes, meet customer needs, and align with overall blended strategy
Collaborate with subject matter experts & curriculum designers to define & develop certification tests
Define and manage project schedules and manage multiple assigned courses simultaneously to ensure appropriate stakeholder input, quality and on-time completion
Load training content to appropriate repositories / platforms for record retention and distribution and maintain version control
Ensure existing content remains relevant by continuously improving, revising, and updating current training materials based on latest product information
Stay current on learning tools, trends and ideas
Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Design, Media Sciences or related field
- 3 years experience in Instructional Design with a focus on developing eLearning and ILT
- Advanced experience in creating e-learning/simulation software (Adobe Captivate)
- Able to understand training designs and create creative and engaging training materials
- Strong editing, written and oral communication skills
- Visual/graphic design and storyboard experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent follow-up, time management and organization skills
- Strong proficiency in SCORM and Learning Management System technology
- Proactive technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Experience working in a multi-cultural, global organization
- Ability to take direction in overall course design & objectives, but add value through exceptional execution
- Experience in delivering training instruction a plus
- Ability to multi-task, flexibly prioritize projects, and respond to feedback
- Experience in a technical field a plus, implementing software with an understanding of database concepts
