This Senior Counsel member will work closely with the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer to do the following.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement an effective global Trust & Safety program, including, e.g.:
- Leading the company response to intentional misuse of the platform, including assessing third party or user-generated content for appropriateness, graphic or disturbing content, spam/fraud, adherence to terms of service or community guidelines and potential legal violations, including managing a number of analysts and engineers (along with a Technical Lead)
- Supervising Trust and Safety analysts prioritizing and pulling tickets from the [email protected] queue
- Conducting advanced safety investigations
- Working with the T&S Technical Lead and/or the Chief Technical Officer and/or Engineering to design and create Trust and Safety Tooling for more efficient terms of service violation response
- Drafting and implementing policies and procedures relating to the T&S program
- Developing and maintaining NGO, Advocacy and Community group partnerships with respect to terms of service, community guidelines and other T&S issues
- Leading legal and cross-functional response to intentional misuse of the platform, including via security settings and features; customer education and outreach; backend technical measures; and more
- Build an effective law enforcement response program, including, e.g.: Reviewing and responding to law enforcement requests to ensure valid legal process and appropriate responses
- Supervising law enforcement analysts prioritizing and pulling tickets from the [email protected] queue
- Law Enforcement outreach and response
- Oversight of and input to building of tools for more efficient law enforcement response, including potentially a law enforcement portal
- Drafting and implementing policies and procedures relating to the T&S program
- Publishing the company transparency report
- Assist with internal investigations of Code of Business Conduct, values, and other legal issues
Requirements
- 15+ years experience in law enforcement and/or prosecution
