- Must have in-depth knowledge of fully automated Cloud Infrastructure Technologies and Techniques, specifically within AWS
- Must have in-depth knowledge of AWS PaaS and IaaS technologies and techniques
- Must have in-depth knowledge of AWS IAM, Federation, Service Accounts, Access Controls, etc.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of AWS Networking and Firewall technologies and techniquesSenior DevOps Engineer will join distributed team that will be supporting new web based technology stacks as part of
a push to cloud and containerized environments. This role will require applicant to:
- Provide release and application support for infrastructure, developers and QA across the IT organization;
- Provide improvements, proposals and act as subject matter expert to accelerate implementation of new strategies
and technologies;
- Act in accordance with DevOps roadmap - and improve it, participating in POCs - implementation of solutions
related to automation of building, integrating, deployment of software to cloud, containerized and on-premise
environments;
- Take part in daily activities to ensure stability and operability of environments and application stack, provisioned to
developers and QA;
- Provide release support in accordance with release calendar;
- Act as SME, being able to gather and propagate knowledge to the team and to distribute work for his teammates;
Applicant should have significant background in OS administration, cloud/containers and application server support
and release engineering best practices in enterprise environment. It is expected of him/her to communicate with
requesters and with his/her team members, to ensure overall stability of environments and flow of provisioned of built
artifacts in timely manner. Specific skillsets are as follows:
- Excellent communicative, interpersonal, intuitive, analysis and leadership skills with ability to work efficiently in both
independent and team work environments;
- Ability to distribute and delegate work to his team members;
- Strong experience in git with advanced functions (git flow, branching/merging, TBD, etc) and Chef or Ansible;
- Experience with Java build tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, Maven and Java environment, frameworks and it`s
ecosystem;
- Experience with monitoring and logging infrastructure and tools such as ELK-stack, Prometheus, Graphana,
Kibana;
- Experience with system engineering, especially in cloud environments and containerized applications (Docker,
Kubernetes)
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to all levels of an organization, coaching and training skills;
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting relational databases (Oracle, Cassandra - nice to have)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics;
- Experience identifying the relationship of bugs to Java code, application servers and other tiers of application;
- Experience mentoring less experienced team members;
- Experience with programming languages (shell - mandatory, Python/Ruby - nice to have);
- Expert in Linux/Unix Administration;
- Experience with automation/configuration management using Chef, Ansible or similar tool;
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services IaaS/PaaS providers and container
orchestration tools (on premise and managed Kubernetes);
- Experience with SQL is a plus;
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Bamboo, Jira, and Confluence) is a plus;
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like ELK and container monitoring solutions;
- Extensively used build utilities (Maven, Jenkins/Bamboo, Artifactory);
