Honey is a fast-growing startup based in Los Angeles. Our online shopping platform offers users a smarter way to shop. We open up instant access to exclusive savings, deals, rewards and discovery, all powered by the collective knowledge of Honey's community of online shoppers. We are helping millions save when they shop online, and we're hiring!

Right now, we are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer for the Droplist team! We have a tightly-knit group filled with cross-functional and disciplined individuals. As a member of the Droplist team, you would be at the bleeding edge of software development for our customer-facing interfaces and back-end services that will scale to over 20 million users!

You can expect to work with other critical teams including Extension, Tips, Website, Offers, Product Catalog, and Store Integration to name a few. Your contribution will help Honey give its users a better way to buy products online by providing high-impact information when our users are making their purchasing decisions.

On the Droplist team, we prioritize candidates who can demonstrate qualities such as curiosity, empathy, compassion, collaboration, and a desire to continuously improve your craft. We are really looking for someone who can help take our existing applications (and our team) to new heights!

What You'll Do:

• Build front-end applications with React
• Build back-end applications with Node
• System architecture using microservices
• Design applications for scalability and maintainability
• Database design and maintenance
• Work on our notification pipeline
• Understand and use Honey's existing core APIs
• Create tests and improve our test coverage

About You:

• You have 3+ years of professional experience with JavaScript, React, Redux, and Node
• You are passionate, curious, and driven when it comes to software engineering
• You have a degree in computer science (or relative experience) and at least 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
• You have strong communication skills and like working in a team-based environment

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Google Cloud Platform (Spanner, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, etc.)
• GraphQL and Apollo
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Test-driven development and test automation
• Scaling full-stack web applications
