SR IT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

This role is responsible for IT infrastructure/systems/support for internal customers including network, workstations, security, telecom, and IT systems necessary for business operations. This individual is an effective communicator able to discuss strategy, systems, policies, and procedures with organization leadership and internal customers. This role also oversees a team of Jr System Admins. The SR IT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR reports to the Director, Corporate IT, and provides overall management and direction to internal IT personnel, projects, and internal client support.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to:

• Dive in and quickly understand our Construction Industry Project and Portfolio Management SaaS offerings.
• Resolve customer issues in the cloud, manage Trimble PPM product development environments, oversee, and automate account-related tasks.
• Provide second and third level tier support for problem resolution for all users under our pre-production environments.
• Ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion as per department SLAs.
• Act as a supervisor, role model and subject matter expert for our less experienced technicians.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of training programs related to Trimble PPM production development environments management and access.
• Create user accounts in AD and other systems as necessary.
• Maintain an organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
• Effectively complete projects by being hands-on as well as coordinating resources and timetables with business units.
• Conduct system audits of managed systems, end-user workstations, server infrastructure, patch, and security systems.
• Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field of study.EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 3 years of Systems Administration experience including:
• 3 years of experience administering B2B enterprise software SaaS systems (ERP, CRM, PMIS, HCM, etc.)
• 3 years of software technical support experience in at least two of the following specializations:
• AWS
• Azure
• Windows Server Administration
• Other Cloud services
  

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting
• Ability to manage a multitude of assignments independently.
• Strong customer service and oral/written communication skills.
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems issues.
• Must be comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends, sometimes with little notice.
  

Experience with infrastructure environments (e.g. operating systems, hardware, network, and web-related applications). Technical knowledge of server hardware, internal components, and Windows server operating systems. Working knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies to include experience with switches. Knowledge and experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) reference model or COBIT is a plus. Ability to read, write, and understand technical manuals and procedural documentation. Ability to conduct research into server issues and products as required. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong initiative, priority setting, and collaboration skills. Ability to apply an expert level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of business and infrastructure issues of diverse complexity.
