What We Are Looking For:
Persado is looking for a Business Development, Research Analyst based in New York, or San Francisco. In this exciting role you will be building a pipeline of prospects and uncovering opportunities by researching and developing outreach strategies to engage target enterprise companies. As a critical part of Persado’s commercial organization, you will partner with our sales teams, to help us build the top of our sales funnel to help achieve our revenue growth goals. Key vertical markets include retail/eCommerce, telecom, digital services/media, travel and hospitality, banking, insurance, and healthcare.
What We Expect of You:
- In partnership with the New Business Sales team, manage inbound and outbound business development efforts
- Conduct comprehensive industry analysis on Fortune 1000 target companies and verticals to determine new client opportunities
- Map out the org structure of customer-facing organizations across the enterprises of these targets
- Contribute to Persado’s revenue growth by generating meetings with senior-level stakeholders
- Develop/refine the best ways to establish contact and engage with prospects
- Enthusiastically represent Persado’s technology and solutions
- Qualify leads driven by the marketing team
- Provide feedback and input to help us shape the evolution of the prospecting process
What We Want To See:
- Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic background ideally in a business/marketing field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience -- prior business development/quota-carrying experience is preferred but not required
- Outgoing and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
- Organized with strong time management skills and ability to prioritize
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and composure
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to convey value
- Has drive, self-confidence, and resourcefulness
- Problem solving skills and an ability to think outside of the box
- Analytically minded
- Able to engage with and partner with others to deliver targets
- Familiarity with online marketing and advertising, including email/CRM, social, web, performance marketing, is a major bonus
- Understanding of business models and value drivers within industries including, but not limited to, financial services (banking, insurance), retail, telecoms, technology & media is an advantage
- Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM platform is a significant advantage
