Workspace Manager

Job Description

Knotel is seeking to hire a Workspace Manager to join our NY Market Workspace Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance of an allocated portfolio of spaces, ensuring efficient and effective operations and maintenance of each site, as well as completing assessments within your portfolio to determine areas of opportunity. In addition, you will have a direct role in coordinating Knotel and customer interactions with the building.

You will work closely with the Customer Delivery and Supply teams as well as market leadership. You will be responsible for working directly with Property Management and internal Knotel stakeholders in order to develop property-specific strategies that correlate with operating and capital budgets.

Working with leadership, sales teams and support functions, you will have responsibility for driving your team’s growth and success.

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for managing and maintaining Knotel’s ongoing relationship with all site/building personnel (e.g., engineering, cleaning and security staff, vendors, etc)
• Conduct formal and informal performance evaluations, inspections, and need assessments of all mechanical, electrical, and facility design optimizations, including FF&E (furniture fixtures and equipment)
• Identify and recommend opportunities to drive operational efficiencies (process and cost)
• Develop and coordinate projects that enhance the value of the site as it pertains to the lease
• Oversee and supervise the quality of work of hard and soft service providers to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively
• Maintain knowledge of service contracts provided by all Knotel preferred vendors and provide quality assurance
• Monitor the performance of your portfolio by collecting, analyzing, and advising on relevant property-level data, information, and trends
• Collaborate with the Construction and Design team during build-out/fit-out/remodel to ensure performance feedback is incorporated into the construction scope
• Help to develop and approve the annual capital plan for your site, interfacing closely with internal Workspace Management/Asset Management stakeholders

• A thorough and detailed oriented practitioner, who can manage and track all projects and requests to completion and achieve overall operational excellence
• Strong understanding of commercial property management, relationship management and vendor management/escalations
• Project management, account management, and facilities management a plus
• Experience working with ticketing systems that interface directly with customers
• Experience providing effective, efficient and economical solutions, with firm budgets
