Senior Software Engineer, Visualization & Analytics

Remote in the U.S. or Denver/Louisville, CO

JumpCloud is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to provide technical leadership for our visualization and analytics team. This team, which does both front end and back end development, provides relevant and timely insights into admin and end-user behaviors in an easy to use and aesthetically pleasing tool set such that admins are empowered to take appropriate actions to securely manage their organizations.

The Problems you’ll be solving:

• Be an exemplar software engineer, who crafts elegant, quality code that is resilient and scalable.
• Partner with product, UX and other senior engineers on feature discovery and rapid prototyping to help shape the long term roadmap in the JumpCloud product portfolio.
• Provide expertise in UI and SaaS technologies that must function robustly and at scale.
• Have a major impact across the engineering org by being a role model and mentor for other engineers.
• Help your engineering team continuously improve our processes, techniques and technologies.

We’re looking for...

• 5+ years of programming experience in JavaScript. Bonus points if you’ve developed your own custom JavaScript framework and have deep experience with modern frameworks like Vue.js or Angular.
• 8+ years of commercial software development experience in a variety of middleware and backend languages (Go, Node, Rust, Java, or Python).
• 5+ years of experience developing SaaS applications in the public cloud (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Solid understanding of API design, canary deployments, and feature flags.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Where you’ll be working

We have two offices in Colorado, one in Louisville and one in downtown Denver. Once we reopen office options you will have the opportunity to work from one of our office locations, flex your time or remain fully remote (in the U.S.).
