As our Business Intelligence Engineer, you will collaborate with our application development teams to support new and ongoing projects in multiple systems, and work within the architecture team to support the establishment and enforcement of data management standards and practices and help plan and develop reporting infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

• Design and develop data models, ETL processes, and business intelligence (BI) reports, using best practices and tools.
• Create, optimize, and manage SQL code.
• Conduct code reviews to enforce development standards and avoid common problems.
• Participate in data management planning activities.
• Create reports to support various business and customer needs.
• Conduct system tests, troubleshoot customer issues, and correct database defects.
• Collaborate with IT operations to perform root cause analysis.
• Conduct or contribute to design and software peer reviews.
• Document software and system designs as required.
• Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all data.

What We Need You to Have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software development, statistics, business administration, or a related field.
• In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of experience in a similar environment will be considered.
• 2+ years of experience as a BI Engineer.
• Working knowledge of database design and development with MS SQL Server 2016 or later.
• Knowledge of SSIS/SSRS/PowerBI tools.
• Proficient at complex SQL query development.
• Documentation of processes and procedures.

What We'd Like You to Have:

• Experience with an accounting/billing database.

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
