Job Summary The Senior Cloud Application Engineer will lead the technical end to end delivery of cloud applications. They will excel at analyzing requirements, designing, developing, delivering and maintaining complex cloud applications within a broad yet strong cross-functional team: Security, Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Application, Monitoring, etc.

Essential Job Functions

• Exceptional Cloud Software Technical Lead
  • Leads independently, working across Cloud Infrastructure, Security, Monitoring, etc. teams to deliver new capabilities.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with SDLC, Application Development, EA, CCRM, DBA, Data, and Security standards and procedures.
  • Supports requirements gathering, analysis, and architecture in development of Business Requirements Document and Architecture Design Documents.
  • Applies knowledge to analyze and resolve complex project solutions.
  • Designs, codes, tests, debugs and maintains complex software solutions.
  • Applies Dev Ops and Agile best practices.
• Proactive, Timely, Concise and Audience Appropriate Communication
  • Communicates complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Delivers routine progress and status to stakeholders.
  • Communicates information in line with the target audience experience, background, and expectations; uses terms, examples, and analogies that are meaningful to the audience.
  • Ensures accuracy of information communicated to effectively support project leadership decision making.
• Continuous Improvement and Mentorship
  • Proactively accumulates and maintains knowledge of current and emerging/evolving technologies, concepts, and trends in the IT field. Mentors others as knowledge increases.
  • Provides input on improving or enhancing existing organizational processes based on lessons learned and experiences from project work.
  • Performs root cause analysis to quickly identify and resolve issues causing recurring technical problems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Actions Physical Environment Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s or Master's degree preferred in Computer Science or Engineering or related technical field. Experience Requirements

• At least 6 years of total IT experience including demonstrated success as a lead software developer working with cloud platforms for at least 4 years.
• Solid understanding of effective cloud computing principles.
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining cloud solutions with best in class security and performance.
• Broad, strong technical knowledge which encompasses application operations including deployment, automation, platform architecture, Database, Network, Load-balancing / Clustering and Security.
• Must have experience working with
  • Tools in Hadoop echo system (PySpark, HDFS, Hive, Parquet Sqoop), Python, R or Java
  • Snowflake or any other SQL database, Unix shell scripting
  • Tools in AWS ecosystem such as S3, Athena, Glue, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, Lambda (experience with similar tools on Azure Cloud platform will also be considered)
  • Containerization, Docker and Kubernetes
• Cloud certifications.
• Good exposure to Agile software development and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration and automated deployment.
• Continuous Integration (CI) tools (e.g. Jenkins).
• Strong practical application development experience on Linux and Windows-based systems.
• Experience working directly with customers, partners and third-party developers.

Special Skill Requirement

• Experience in insurance or financial services industry.
• Experience supporting Customer Journey Analytics.
• Exposure to data science and AI tools such as Sagemaker and Algorithmia.
• May require occasional travelling.
• Good written and oral skills in local language.

• Pay Range: $100,000 to $140,500
