Job Summary
The Field Operating officer is a developmental role. It shares P&L accountability for all states in territory. With a matrixed relationship to home office, they are the primary contact in the territory for the field integration team. They oversee the daily operational/administrative needs of the territory, which includes managing business-critical reports, implementation plans and the inside sales consultants (designated to broadly and virtually coach agencies on as-needed programs). They are also responsible for driving agency adoption of tools and technology and overseeing the territory’s segmentation activities (which would be developed in concert with the field integration team).
Essential Job Functions
- Act as deputy for the Head of Territory on the Profitable Growth Team and in all matters relative to the general management/leadership in the territory, including building operating plans to support business strategies.
- Be a primary point of connection between field integration and territory office.
- Oversee successful territory implementation of national programs, including segmentation efforts designed by the field integration team to drive results.
- Ensure operational leadership consistent with other field operating leads --managing all territory reporting, financial analysis, segmentation coordination, promo management, calendar management, measurement and overall operational rigor/excellence.
- Manage the territory budget and be a key contact for executing on results-focused strategies, such as deployment, agency development, life engagement, BI engagement, etc.
- Understand the loss ratio trajectory for individual states and be a key contact for product partners as they review rate-action decisions.
- Manage virtual coaching efforts of the insidesales consultants (combination of territory resources and resources centralized on the inside sales team); ensure coordination with the sales directors to ensure segmentation efforts are calibrated and targeting agencies with optimal opportunities.
- Work with the Agency Development team to represent the strategic deployment needs of the territory based on the strategy set forth by the Head of Territory.
- This role will lead and manage a team, and will indirectly influence and lead the organization through change.

- Grow NB (QPAPD, agency development, producer hiring)

- Deepen customer relationships (life, retirement, BI)
- Agency economic metrics
Education Requirements
Experience Requirements
- 10-15 years related background
- Ability to develop strategic plans and lead cross-functional teams to ensure the viability of EA channel
- Ability to collaborate, influence and lead essential to success.
- Strong problem-solving ability, in addition to creative and strategic thinking ability.
- Knowledge of insurance business and business operations, i.e. product, claims, distribution management, legislative and regulatory affairs, financials, etc.
